My journey away from the corporate life began with Mountain Bike Radio in 2012. The whole idea to was to bring a fresh sound and idea to the world of outdoor podcasts – a source for a variety of talk about any cycling that didn't involve pavement. Through the help and support of many people, including the listeners, along the way, I’m proud of what Mountain Bike Radio has become. Thank you!
My beautiful wife, Amy, son, Clae, and daughter, Paige, are very supportive and hear about bikes way more than any normal family. I am originally from Wisconsin and recently lived near Denver, Colorado, before moving to North Dakota. Currently my home trail is the Maah Daah Hey Trail near Watford City, North Dakota. We'll be heading back to Wisconsin in 2017.
I've always been athletic, competing in various sports since I was about 6 years old. baseball, wrestling, basketball, track, cross country, and football were all part of growing up. I moved into just playing baseball and wrestling and then got into running to get ready for both of those sports. After high school, I got involved in endurance sports and never looked back. I've run several marathons and many other distances both on the road and trail, competed in all distances of triathlon, raced on xc skis, and have been a competitive Cat 1 level mountain biker for nearly a decade, s
